Titanic The Movie The Play

Act/React are quickly building national recognition for their unique brand of semi-scripted comedy shows. Off the back of their innovative production Speed The Movie The Play, they brought Titanic The Movie The Play back to Brisbane as part of the 2019 Anywhere Theatre Festival.

Natalie Bochenski (the driving force behind Act/React) wanted some character-centric images for a social media campaign ahead of opening night – a combination of ensemble shots and solo shots. We put together a concept that let each character tell their story, creating images that were strong as solo pieces and strong as a collection, with enough variety to build audience interest without “same same” fatigue.

Kris’ work has received gold awards at international, national and state levels for professional print judging. He was recently recognised as the 2023 NZIPP Australian Portrait Photographer of the Year and the 2023 SWPP Portrait Photographer of the Year. Prior to that, Kris was awarded 2019 AIPP Queensland Professional Photographer of the Year. He has also won state and national titles for AIPP Professional Illustrative Photographer of the Year.
