No matter what kind of production you are putting together, you have hundreds of competitors, all vying for their share of audience. The most reliable way to get their attention is eye-catching imagery that distinguishes you from the other posters on the wall, advertisements in the paper, or pages in a festival brochure. We can help you put together promotional imagery that will capture their interest and draw them in to your production.
There are two kinds of sessions we run for promotional imagery – our Standard Session is designed for straightforward on-location shoots with minimal post-production, while our Creative Session is as complex as you need it to be.
For all of our promotional work, we are going to want to spend time talking with you (or chatting online, hey, it’s the future) about your production, the vibe, the audience you’re trying to reach, and the formats you need. Establishing a good brief is vital to ensure you get the best outcome, and we want to get in to your head to really understand your production.
Our Standard Session is perfect for a straightforward on-location shoot that doesn’t need a whole lot of post-production. We allow 1-2 hours on-location, often using off-camera lighting to lift the performers out of the background and make them pop. After you choose from the candidates, we’ll deliver edited and lightly retouched images, in a variety of print- and web-ready formats, including resolutions optimised for Facebook (posts, profile pictures, and cover photos) and Instagram. Standard sessions have three main phases:
- Consultation – we’ll chat on the phone or on-line, discuss your requirements and work out location and logistics. We often prototype images with sketches to help with communicating ideas clearly.
- Shoot – 1-2 hours on location, executing to a run sheet we will distribute to anyone involved in the shoot.
- Delivery – First we deliver proof images on-line for you to choose from, then we deliver finished images ready for use.
Our Creative Session has no limits. Perhaps you want one complex killer image for a poster. Perhaps you want a series of images so you can drip-feed promotions to Facebook leading up to your production. Perhaps they’re on-location, or we can help to source a studio. And they often involve some photoshop magic to deliver to the brief. After you choose from the candidates, we’ll deliver edited images, in a variety of print- and web-ready formats, including resolutions optimised for Facebook (posts, profile pictures, and cover photos) and Instagram.
